Current projects

With generous assistance from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England and Historic England we have been able to begin a comprehensive programme of repairs to The Folly, our Grade I listed building.

Structural Repairs

Repointing and glazing repairs to the front elevation; internal repairs to plasterwork and woodwork
Current Status: Work currently in progress

Repairs to roof, flashings and rainwater goods
Current Status: Work currently in progress

Estimated Cost: £30,000

New Kitchen

Development of the north garage to form a new kitchen adjacent to the Coffee House
Current Status: Work currently in progress

Estimated Cost: £85,000

Garden Improvements

Phase 2: Redesign of pathways and planting to make better use of the space, with emphasis on sustainable methods and materials.
Current Status: Phase 2 planned, further funding required

Estimated Cost: £10,500

New Permanent Museum Exhibition

Installation of a fully researched, ‘state of the art’ permanent exhibition on the upper floors of The Folly.
Current Status: Proposal to be developed and costed.
