Description

Waders in the dales: ground nesting birds, their importance, challenges and future.

Tom Ridgeon is a Project Ecologist at PBA Ecology.
Tom’s teatime talk at The Folly highlights the international significance of the Dales for populations of ground nesting birds and explores their challenges they face, as well as the actions that farmers can take (and often already are taking) to help them.
Tea, filter coffee and biscuits will be available.

Tom’s talk has kindly been provided for free by PBA Ecology as a donation-in-kind to Ground Nest Fest.

This event is part of Ground Nest Fest, a week-long festival celebrating ground-nesting birds and their habitats, held in partnership between The Folly, Wild Ingleborough and Yorkshire Peat Partnership. It is generously funded by The Royal Society.
