Join us this Christmas for a magical family adventure around The Folly…

Put on a magical time travelling hat on your arrival in our Main Hall and be transported to Christmasses of hundreds of years ago! As you go around The Folly, you’ll meet some of our wonderful Christmas elves who will show you some old fashioned toys from our museum collection, and let you play with some replica objects, just like children in times past.

Up in our Railway Room, Molly at The Folly herself will be telling Christmassy stories – The Night Before Christmas and the Polar Express!

Don’t forget to get your Polar Express passport stamped by each of our elves. Present the passport back at the front desk to get whizzed forward in time again… and receive a candy cane.

Details for Parents

Storytelling will take place on the second floor of The Folly. The room is not accessible to pushchairs, so please plan accordingly. Molly will be storytelling each hour on the half hour. At busy times, we may have to ask you to wait or return later.

Time travelling hats are optional! We know not all children are comfortable wearing dressing up clothes.

We’ll have a full ingredient list for the candy canes available at the front desk.
