Description

Rise and shine for an early morning immersion in birdsong on the beautiful Ingleborough National Nature Reserve with the Wild Ingleborough team, led by John Osborne of Natural England.
John currently works for Natural England on their South Cumbria reserves as a site manager, and has previously worked at Ingleborough NNR and the RSPB on various nature reserves from Orkney Isles to Kent. He carries out regular bird surveys, and has a wealth of knowledge in bird identification and behaviour.

Tea/Coffee and pastries will be available at Colt Park Barn during the walk. Access information, parking and what to expect can be found via the booking link.

Please note, children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.

The Dawn Chorus Walk is being run by Wild Ingleborough, an ambitious, landscape-scale project working with the community to bring about nature’s recovery in this part of North Yorkshire.

This event is part of Ground Nest Fest, a week-long festival celebrating ground-nesting birds and their habitats, held in partnership between The Folly, Wild Ingleborough and Yorkshire Peat Partnership.  It is generously funded by The Royal Society
