Current building projects

With generous assistance from Arts Council England, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England we have been able to begin a comprehensive programme of repairs to The Folly, our Grade I listed building.

The Folly – Structural Repairs

We are delighted that an award of £798,500 under Round 4 of the DCMS/Arts Council England Museum Estates and Development (MEND) scheme was announced in February 2025. Work on the outstanding repairs to The Folly is expected to take two years, with the project beginning in April 2025. Match funding has already been secured from the North Craven Heritage Trust and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority’s Sustainable Development Fund. Further funding is currently being sought to assist with the revenue costs of the project.
