Current building projects

With generous assistance from Arts Council England, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and Historic England we have been able to carry out a comprehensive programme of repairs to The Folly, our Grade I listed building.

The Folly: Structural Repairs 2026-27

We are delighted that an award of £798,500 under Round 4 of the DCMS/Arts Council England Museum Estates and Development (MEND) scheme was announced in February 2025. Work on the outstanding repairs to The Folly is expected to take two years, with the project beginning in April 2025 and work on site starting in April 2026. Initial match funding has been secured. Further funding is currently being sought to assist with the remaining capital and revenue costs. Total capital costs are estimated to be around £920,975.
